USA Outdoor Nationals

Love the sport! The USA Track and Field National Championships are this weekend in Oregon. They can be watched live at the USATF website (click here). It is always exhilarating to watch the very best Americans in our sport compete.

It is often said that Americans simply cannot compete on the world scene in distance running, but the tides are changing. We are among those who will help bring about that change!

Mens’ Coach Zach Ripley to Compete Tomorrow in Indianapolis

New mens’ cross country coach, Zach Ripley will compete tomorrow in the American Milers Club Series 3000 Meter Steeple Chase. He is the third seed in the field and he hopes to qualify for the US Nationals to be held later in the summer. The seed list is available here.

After the race has concluded, results should appear here.

Bus leaves at 7:20 from WC. We are asking kids to ride both ways this time.

Take 131 South to Q Avenue/Center Avenue (first exit past I-94).
Go east about 1.5 miles to Moorsbridge.
School will be on the east side of the road.

Very hard place to park — huge event. Parking is $5 if you are lucky enough to get in a lot. Otherwise park on a street (pay attention to no parking) and walk in.

Wednesday Meet at Sparta

Girls at 4:45, boys at 5:15. We take on Coopersville and Comstock Park. Both should be tough meets so we need to be on our A game.

The bus will leave WC at 3:00 and riding it is mandatory as we want to get them in their game mode.

Sparta should be a familiar location for all of us.

There is a K-6 race after our races if anyone wants to enter a sibling. It is free.
