2005 MHSAA Boys Distance

The boys distance runners that qualified in individual events had laid it out pretty well in the earlier 4 x 800 relay where they took 6th. Andrew ran a personal best 2:00 in that race, despite heavy traffic and frequent contact with other runners. When it came time for the 3200, you could […]

2005 MHSAA 400, 800 and 1600 Relays

The boys had great races in the 400 and 800 Meter Relays. Despite a bad third handoff that significantly slowed the 4 x 100, they still finished in 6th place overall:

2005 MHSAA Boys 110 M Hurdles

Well Nick Cinterino had a great day …. until his last two meters.
In the prelims he got through safely with a very comfortable 15.55.
In the semi’s, he ranked 3rd on time with a 15.25.
In the finals he was in the lead (battling neck and neck with two other athletes), and somehow he and Charles Richards […]

2005 MHSAA Boys Long Jump

Mitch took 12th, with a sub-par jumping day by his standards. All year he had been going 21′ and more. Unfortunately, not on this day. Still a great season for him.

2005 MHSAA Girls 800 Meters

Monica Kinney had difficulty at the Regional Meet. She and a couple of other girls were placed wrong on the line by officials and they were boxed in by slower girls. By the time they were able to get free of the interference, their races were less than they had hoped for. […]

2005 MHSAA Girls 4 x 100

The team of Kohane, Bildner, Boomgaard and Burciaga wound up in 26th place, but ran a season best time of 53.36. Because this is Fully Automatic Timing, that is below a 53.1 hand time and their best to date had been a 53.2. Congratulations girls.

2005 Girls MHSAA Pole Vault

Pindar jumps 9′00″ and finishes 18th.

Girls at MHSAA have great day

The girls won’t show up in the official results just yet, however they had a very good day. Monica Kinney placed about tenth in the 800 meters in a time of 2:26.2, a personal best. The 4 x 100 relay (Kohane, Bildner, Boomgaard, Burciaga) ran a 53.0 second time, also a seasons best. […]

Men at MHSAA State Meet

The men didn’t perform as well as they hoped in some events. However, they certainly did have some success.
The complete results are now on M-Live through 8 places.
My prediction of the top five vs the actual was:
Prediction…………………………………………………………..actual
1 Frankenmuth 56……………………………………………..Frankenmuth 51
2 Detroit Country Day 42……………………………………Detroit Country Day 47.50
