Both raced for Aquinas this weekend at Parkside. Aquinas is ranked number two in the nation.
36 Chris Leikert Aquinas College 26:55 Junior
39 Erich Tanis Aquinas College 26:58
The course is 8K long and either uphill or downhill the entire way, period.
Aquinas won the meet, but these two finished just out of scoring places.

We just cannot seem to shake the spot in the rankings. Unfortunately for us, Whitehall is ranked lower, even though they beat us on Saturday. Unless we can improve rapidly, I think we’ll sink to 8th next week, which might be a better current statement of D3 Girls Cross Country affairs.

Here is the Portage Dream Race … if you combine all racers into one imaginary race … we really do quite well. This is only the top 50 of 121 complete teams. Of course heat may affect some later races … although it was plenty hot and humid when we ran as well.
